Structural Timber Framing

Below is a correlation of images of a project located in Manchester near my family home. I took several images of the piece from several angles to understand structural timber framing and the process of structural alignment. It helped to me inspire and build an understanding of the details of putting my final year project together.

Timber framing is a very traditional method when it comes to construction and predominately used to build buildings using wood. Historically it has been repetitively used in European architecture, with a proven success rate.
